An IHPI team's work was featured in a story on the Reuters newswire
A paper in JAMA Network Open by a team led by IHPI member Renuka Tipirneni, M.D., M.S. caught the attention of a reporter for the Reuters newswire, who featured it in a Nov. 21 national story.
The study, based on a national survey study of 506 insured adults, found that nearly 30 percent reported having delayed or foregone care because of cost. Those with higher health insurance literacy had a lower likelihood of delayed or foregone care due to cost, for both preventive and nonpreventive care.
