2024 Program - Register Here
The Transition to First R01 Workshop is a three-part program designed to help early-career faculty who are in the beginning stages of thinking about developing their first R01 or R01-equivalent proposal. This workshop is strongly recommended for faculty who are early in their career development award or in the first few years of their faculty appointment.
The 2024 Workshop will be held virtually via zoom, and will focus on understanding how to develop key sections of the R01, and will provide practical information and strategies related to the following topics:
Workshop 1: K-R Transition Planning and Developing the Aims Page
Tuesday, May 7
2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Workshop 2: Coordinating a Study Team, Project Timelines, and Budgets
Thursday, May 23
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Workshop 3: Workshopping the Aims Page, and Open Discussion
Thursday, June 6
9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
After completing this program, faculty will have a high-level understanding of the overall trajectory of the R01 development process and should be prepared to begin or continue developing their proposal and/or apply to the IHPI R01 Boot Camp program to further refine their proposal.
Eligibility: Any IHPI member who is in the early stages of writing a proposal or wants to learn more about the process for developing an R01 or equivalent proposal.
Registration: Registration is open through Friday, April 26.
